Putting our spin on early 2000's running with a premium take on the P-6000.
Featuring elevated leather materials, premium caging, and 3M hits, the Makeway x NIKE Party-6000 can bring you from day to night without sacrificing comfort or style. Drawing inspiration from the WNBA and Toronto Raptors legend, Vince Carter, the colours (White Summit/Turf Orange/Apricot Agate/Field Blue/UNC Blue/Photon Dust) pay homage to Abby and Shelby's personal and professional roots in basketball and their love of the sport.
The tagline, as seen on the tongue, "First, No Lasts" represents the many challenges that come with being ‘The First’, while ensuring there will never be ‘A Last’ by acknowledging the responsibility of passing the torch to the next generation. There can never be another ‘First’ but if it’s up to Makeway, there won’t be 'A Last’ either.
Why P-6000? A callout to Makeway's summer party series and community celebration, named 'Party-6000’ after our love of the silhouette.
The box design celebrates Makeway's first location in a 900 sq ft shipping container and features the area codes 902 and 905, calling out the hometowns of Makeway's founders, Halifax and Mississauga.
IN-STORE RELEASE (11.20.24)
The NIKE x Makeway PARTY-6000 will launch exclusively in-store at Makeway on 11.20.2024 at 12PM on a first-come, first-serve basis during business hours (12-7PM) & will remain an in-store exclusive until store close (7PM) on 11.22.2024, or while supplies last. The first 50 PEOPLE to purchase a pair will receive 2 tickets to the biggest Party-6000 yet.
